Knutsford Hockey Club is a friendly, supportive community field hockey club in Cheshire offering competitive league matches under England Hockey and regular social events. They field multiple men’s, women’s, and development teams playing in the North West divisions.

KHC has a significant junior section with a dedicated team holding training sessions during the season for different age groups on Tuesday evenings at Knutsford leisure centre. The club has also engaged with Knutsford Academy to hold regular sessions at the school with the aim of encouraging younger players to get involved in hockey. The senior squads are benefiting from this as juniors and intermediates develop and compete for places in the senior teams.

Come and join the fun with Girlguiding Cheshire Border.

Girlguiding Cheshire Border covers most of east and south Cheshire – you will find guiding in the large towns of Macclesfield, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Congleton, Sandbach, Crewe and Nantwich and all the towns and villages in the more rural areas.

The skills that young members develop during their time in guiding stay with them for life, and so do the friends that they make!

Rainbows 4 – 7 Rainbows will laugh, sing and make a happy mess (and help clear it up!) as they choose their way through our programme of activities. 

Brownies 7 – 10 Brownies is full of firsts: your child might grow their first plant, cook their first cake, put up (and take down) their first tent or go on their first fun-packed weekend away with guiding friends. There’s something for every girl!

Guides 10 – 14 Think up a new sport, make a new perfume, cook over a campfire, design an advertising campaign, have a mocktail party or raise money for a charity you believe in – at Guides, you can do all of this and loads more.

Rangers 14 -1 8 Rangers is where you can regularly meet up with good friends, go on trips at home and abroad, and help make a difference to the things you care about – it’s what you make of it.

Canute Badminton Club

Welcome to Canute Badminton Club! We are a friendly competitive Badminton England affiliated club based at Egerton Youth Club in Knutsford, Cheshire and we play across three courts with feather shuttles. Club nights are on Mondays 8-10 pm and home matches are played on Thursdays 8-10pm. Guests are welcome but please let us know in advance just so we can make sure there’s space first!

The junior section is run by a qualified coach every Monday evening 7-8 pm except over the Christmas, Easter and Summer Holidays and is open to all abilities between the ages of 8 and 18. We aim to include a mixture of coaching and games to make sure the sessions are as enjoyable and as productive as possible. Many of our Juniors (past and present) have progressed into the senior section of club, played in the local leagues and been involved in various tournaments. As with the adult section the juniors play with feather shuttles and we can also provide rackets on the night for those that need them

2nd Knutsford Scouts

2nd Knutsford is one of the smaller scout groups in Knutsford District. The leaders across our four sections work closely together and thus we create a distinct family feel to our group. We provide indoor and outdoor adventurous activities for our young people aged 4 to 14 years old. We are very pleased to be the first scout group in Knutsford District to host a Squirrel section (4-6 years old). We meet in the Cross-Town Scouts Hut and are proud of our strong links with St. Cross Church, St. John’s Wood, Tatton Park, Cross Town Community Orchard, Knutsford Fire Station, Manor Park School and Knutsford Indoor Market. We also try to use the district scout minibus to get out to activities outside of Knutsford.

Our sections are led by well trained, experienced and dedicated volunteer leaders who are keen to organise exciting programmes for every meeting and event. These include hikes, visits, parades and camps etc. Help from young leaders and parents/carers is always welcomed. To make our programme engaging we listen to, and encourage our young people, to share their ideas for activities. We also benefit from taking part in events organised by Knutsford District Scouts such as parades, campfires, orienteering days and climbing.

Beavers – (from the age of 6 to 8 years old) – Wednesday 6:15pm until 7:15pm

Cubs – (from the age of 8 to 10 ½ years old) – Thursday 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Scouts – (from the age of 10 ½ to 14 years old) – Wednesday nights from 7:30pm until 9pm

For all ages, as a general rule follow the same holiday pattern as our local schools

5th Knutsford Scout Group

We are the largest group in the District! Our Beaver, Cub and Scout sections are led by a team of experienced and well trained adult volunteers who endeavour to provide lots of exciting activities and get outdoors and do as many adventurous things as we can!

We run sections on different nights of the week so you can choose an evening that works for you.

Beavers – 5th Knutsford Beavers take members from the age of 6 to 8 years old. We have two Beaver colonies:

  • Apache Beavers meet on Tuesday evenings from 6pm until 7pm
  • Navajo Beavers meet on Thursday evenings from 6pm until 7pm

Cubs – 5th Knutsford Cubs take members from the age of 8 to 10 ½ years old.  We have three Cub packs:

  • Lion Cubs meet every Monday between 6:15pm and 7.15pm
  • Bear Cubs meet every Tuesday between 7.15pm and 8.30pm
  • Tiger Cubs meet every Wednesday between 6.15pm and 7.30pm

Scouts – 5th Knutsford Scouts take members from the age of 10 ½ to 14 years old. We have three Scout troops:

  • Hunter Scouts meet on Monday nights from 7:30pm until 9:00pm
  • Wolves Scouts meet on Wednesday nights from 7:45pm to 9:00pm
  • Panther Scouts meet on Thursday nights from 7:15pm to 8:45pm

1st Knutsford Scouts

We are a fantastic Scout Group who do loads of activities. We meet in the brand new scout hut on the Moor, Charlton Lodge, in the middle of Knutsford. From the youngest section to the oldest we get outdoors and do as many adventurous things as we can!

Our Beaver, Cub and Scout sections are led by a team of experienced and well trained adults. We have the pride of being the oldest group in the District and are very proud of our long history.

Crosstown Community Orchard

Crosstown Community Orchard is a charity created in September 2020 with the main aim of creating a new community orchard in Knutsford. The Crosstown Community Orchard was created in 2021 and is an open-access park on Mobberley Road.

The charity runs a monthly volunteering session (usually last Sunday of each month from 10-12), as well as annual BBQ, bat walk and Wassail events.
