Keeping Knutsford blooming makes it an attractive place to live, work and visit. We work alongside Knutsford in Bloom and ANSA (Cheshire East Council) to ensure the town is kept in bloom year round and we lead coordinate the town’s entry into the annual Northwest in Bloom competition.

WHAT WE LOOK AFTER

  • Town centre barrier planters
  • Town centre hanging baskets
  • Barrier planters on Longridge
  • Canute Place island planters
  • Cotton Shop Yard planter
  • Town entry planters
  • Two tier planter near Simon Boyd

Other planters are looked after by volunteers from Knutsford in Bloom.

KNUTSFORD IN BLOOM

Knutsford in Bloom is a volunteer group set up in 2009 to work alongside the council in Knutsford’s entry to the Northwest in Bloom competition.

The volunteers (or kibsters) look after a number of the flower beds and planters in the town centre, including the Rachel Bloor Garden in front of Lost and Found, the planters near Arthur Lee and the fantastic flower beds at the railway station.

Knutsford in Bloom are always looking for new volunteers, visit their website to find out more.

NORTHWEST IN BLOOM

We enter Knutsford into the annual Northwest in Bloom competition and have an annual visit from judges who assess the town’s effort across horticultural achievement, environmental responsibility and community participation. It really is a whole town team effort and we are proud that since 2017 Knutsford has won Gold in the competition!

In 2019, Knutsford was also awarded Best Commercial Effort in recognition of the outstanding displays from our town centre businesses.
