Knutsford Town Council comprises 15 councillors across four wards; ‘all out’ elections are held every four years. The next full elections will be held in May 2023.

The council currently has a vacancy for a councillor Nether Ward. A notice advertising the vacancy was posted in July 2020 and a by-election was demanded. This election will be held in May 2021 as all elections have currently been suspended due to coronavirus.
