This website is the official website for Knutsford Town Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.
Using This Website
This website is run by Knutsford Town Council. We are committed to making our digital services accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 (and subsequent amendments). On this website, you should be able to:
- Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen.
- Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard.
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader.
- Access the site on various devices, including mobile phones and tablets
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. “Partially compliant” means there are some parts of the site that do not fully meet the accessibility standards, which we are working to resolve.
Non-accessible Content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
- PDFs and Other Documents: Some of our older PDFs (such as historic meeting minutes) may not meet accessibility standards—for example, they may not be structured so they’re accessible to a screen reader. Our AGAR is produced in a national template which is not accessible. Some PDFs are uploaded which are provided by third parties and we cannot guarantee these are accessible.
- Interactive Maps: We use some Google MyMaps embedded on the website, for example to show footpaths and wards. We cannot make these accessible to all users and it would be disproportionate to obtain a bespoke mapping system for these purposes. We will provide information in accessible formats if requested.
- Third-Party Content: We may link to third-party services (like maps or social media) which are outside of our direct control.
