ET23/061 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

No member declared an interest in any item.

 

ET23/062 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

A resident spoke concerning the proposed pedestrian crossing on Northwich Road, expressing that they believed it should be installed near Warren Avenue not near Lilac Avenue as is proposed and stating that this is where a greater number of users would benefit. They further raised the issue of the layby on Northwich Road not having parking restrictions which meant its use as a bus stop was prejudiced which makes boarding/alighting buses less safe.

 

ET23/063 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 5th February

 

ET23/064 REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE

The committee income and expenditure year-to-date was noted.

 

ET23/065 PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY

It was RESOLVED to coordinate a DMMO application for the obstructed path connecting Church Hill and King Street and task ward councillors with reviewing paths in their ward to develop proposals for further DMMO applications.

 

ET23/066 ROUNDABOUT FEATURES

It was RESOLVED to explore further options for features on roundabouts including investigating sponsorship.

 

ET23/067 STRATEGIC PLAN

The progress on delivering the committee’s agreed actions was noted and Cllr Watson reported Friends of the Heath were exploring the issue of the railings around the Queen Elizabeth coronation tree.

 

ET23/068 OUTSTANDING MATTERS LOG

The log was noted.

 

ET23/069 QUESTIONS TO THE CLERK

The Town Clerk responded to questions advising that a start date for the Ladies Mile path works was awaited, noting the overlap between the remit of this committee for transport and the Town Centre Masterplan workstream under the Town Centre Committee in respect of traffic, parking and active travel within the town centre and undertook to thank the PCSO for his work undertaking speed checks.
