ET23/050 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 20th November 2023.
ET23/051 REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
The committee income and expenditure year-to-date was noted.
ET23/05220 MPH SPEED LIMITS
It was noted that the committee disagreed with the Cheshire East Council approach to 20mph limits which require engineering solutions to slow traffic on roads where traffic travels in excess of 24mph, but notwithstanding this the committee would identify approximately two roads per ward to put forward for a 20mph limit. A number of roads were suggested and it was agreed that members would suggest roads for their ward to the Town Clerk and the SID would be used to measure the existing average speed, the committee would then consider what roads to put forward.
ET23/053 COMMUNITY ENERGY GENERATION
It was RESOLVED to:
- note the information and success of community energy projects
- agree in principle support to the emergence of any community energy project in Knutsford
- refer the information and idea of establishing a community energy project to the working group to be formed in the 2025/26 civic year
ET23/054 COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SCHEMES
The committee received information on the Knutsford Community Transport Association, Knutsford and District Good Neighbours scheme and Cheshire East FlexiLink scheme. In respect of the two Knutsford community schemes it was RESOLVED to:
- Feature both organisations in community newsletters to promote them to potential users/volunteers
- Create a poster for KDGN to display in noticeboards to promote the scheme
- Creating a section on the town council website to promote both schemes and support this with scheduled social media posts about the schemes
ET23/055 STRATEGIC PLAN
The progress on delivering the committee’s agreed actions was noted.
ET23/056 OUTSTANDING MATTERS LOG
The log was noted.
ET23/057 QUESTIONS TO THE CLERK
The Town Clerk responded to a question advising that a meeting of the CIL Projects Advisory Committee was being convened to consider the proposal for the Ladies Mile path upgrade.
ET23/058 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING
It was noted that the next scheduled meeting would be held on 15th April 2024 at 7:30pm
