The annual meeting of Knutsford Town Council meeting will be held on 5th May 2021 at 7:00pm .
The meeting will be conducted via Zoom and members of the public can join on the following link: Open Zoom Meeting. The meeting will also be livestreamed to our Facebook page.
1 ELECTION OF THE TOWN MAYOR
To elect the Town Mayor and receive their declaration of acceptance of office.
In accordance with resolution 19/161 it stands to be proposed that Cllr Stewart Gardiner be re-elected as Town Mayor for the 2021/22 civic year.
2 ELECTION OF THE DEPUTY TOWN MAYOR
To elect the Deputy Town Mayor and note that their declaration of acceptance of office will be given before the Town Clerk prior to the next council meeting.
In accordance with resolution 19/161 it stands to be proposed that Cllr Mike Houghton be re-elected as Deputy Town Mayor for the 2021/22 civic year.
3 TOWN MAYOR’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Town Mayor will announce the appointment of the Mayor’s Cadet, the Mayor’s Chaplain, and the beneficiaries of the Mayor’s charitable fundraising.
4 APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO OUTSIDE BODIES
To appoint members to represent the council on external bodies.
5 APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEES, SUB-COMMITTEES AND BANK SIGNATORIES
To appoint members and Chairman/Deputy Chairman of the council’s committees and sub-committees, and to confirm the council’s bank signatories.

6 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
To receive declarations of personal, prejudicial and pecuniary interests from members relevant to items under discussion at the meeting.
7 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
To receive apologies for absence.
8 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
A period of up to 15 minutes for members of the public to ask questions or submit comments.
9 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
To receive and confirm the minutes of the meeting held 1st March 2021.

10 ANNUAL GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY RETURN 2020/21
To consider the approval of the Annual Governance Statement.
To consider the approval of the Accounting Statements 2020/21
11 DISCHARGE OF COUNCIL FUNCTIONS DURING PANDEMIC
To note the withdrawal of the council’s ability to hold virtual meetings and to arrange for the discharge of council functions during the period when it is not possible to hold safe and lawful meetings.
12 MAYOR’S ALLOWANCE
To approve a sum of £630 to be paid to the Town Mayor for the civic year 2021/22.
13 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING
To note that the Town Mayor and Town Clerk will determine the date of the next meeting of the Town Council in consultation with members.
