T23/040  APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies were received from Cllrs Gray (personal business)

 

T23/041  DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

In the interest of openness and transparency, Cllr Johnson declared that she had been contacted by the appellant as ward councillor and liaised with the Town Clerk and appellant on procedural matters.

Cllr Banks declared a personal interest in T23/043 on the grounds of known being known to an individual connected with the matter.

 

T23/042  CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting 27^th November 2023.

 

T23/043  MARKET HALL LICENCE APPEAL

It was RESOLVED to exclude the public and press on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

The appellant joined the meeting, provided additional information and took questions from the committee. The appellant withdrew from the meeting.

The Town Centre Manager joined the meeting, provided additional information and took questions from the committee. The Town Centre Manager withdrew from the meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 1905 to reconvene at 2100 or immediately following the conclusion of the Full Council meeting, whichever is the later. The meeting reconvened at 2126 with the same attendance.

It was RESOLVED to dismiss the appeal.

It was noted that no member should discuss the matter externally and all queries in relation to the appeal should be referred to the Town Clerk.

 

T23/044 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING

It was noted that the next scheduled meeting would be held on 29^th January at 7:00pm.
