Cllrs Coan and Gray declared a personal interest in application 26/0548/ADV on the grounds of being trustees of the neighbouring business.

It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 16th March 2026.

 

PL25/173 PLANNING APPLICATIONS

It was RESOLVED submit the comments detailed below.

26/0548/ADV[1] East Cheshire Hospice, 7-9 Malt Street Advertisement consent for replacement signs on gable end. The council OBJECTS on the grounds that the signage is overbearing through its cumulative scale and is at odds with its setting, and therefore detrimental to the Town Centre Conservation Area.
26/0891/CLEUD The Lambing Shed Farmshop And Cafe, Moseley Hall Farm Chelford Road, Certificate of lawful development for existing use as car park. The council raises no objections.

 

Additionally, the council requests that the applicant improve the landscaping of the perimeter of the land.

26/0905/HOUS 4 Helena Close Single storey rear and side extension and enlargement of front porch. The council raises no objection, subject to neighbour comments.

PL25/174 LICENSING APPLICATIONS

It was RESOLVED to submit no objections to the minor variation application for the premises known as Shell Knutsford.

 

PL25/175 PLANNING DECISIONS

The latest planning decisions were noted.

 

PL25/176 REPLACEMENT TREE LETTERS

It was RESOLVED to approve the recommendation to include a tree letters report on an agenda in March and September each year, and to write follow-up letters where a positive response is received.

 

PL25/177 PLANNING ENFORCEMENT

The log was noted, and it was RESOLVED to write to the Head of Planning at Cheshire East Council regarding the lack of enforcement action noting the actions over two years old, to add an action to the request list for Cheshire East Council Ward Members to seek a resolution to the outstanding enforcement action, and to contact Cllr Dean for support to encourage an update on each of the enforcement items from the Cheshire East Planning Enforcement team.

 

PL25/178 OUTSTANDING MATTERS

The log was noted, and it was RESOLVED to add an action to the request list for Cheshire East Council Ward Members to seek a resolution to the outstanding matter for Lane End.
