PL22/022 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

Cllr Morris declared a personal interest in application 22/2101M on the grounds of being known to the applicant.

 

PL22/023 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

A resident spoke in relation to 22/1953M, highlighting the planning history of the site including appeal decisions which provide an indication as to what was considered acceptable and noting that the measured ridge height is greater than stated and that the building does not appear subservient or respectful of the curtilage.

A representative of the South Knutsford Residents Group spoke in relation to 22/2101M questioning whether the development would be meet the Legh Road Conservation Area character requirement of a ‘substantial house in substantial plot’ and noting it constituted the loss of a bungalow. The representative further spoke in relation to 22/2326M noting the large scale of the extension and its impact on the street scene from three elevations.

The applicant for 22/2101M spoke in relation to their application providing an overview of the benefits of the development and how it had been designed to enhance the street scene, respect the Legh Road Conservation Area and constitute sustainable development.

PL22/027 PLANNING DECISIONS

The recent planning decisions were noted and the Town Clerk read the reason provided for the refusal of permission for the installation of antennae on St Cross Church.

 

PL22/028 PRE-APPLICATION DEVELOPER ENGAGEMENT

It was RESOLVED that:

The council will agree to meet with developers to discuss applications prior to submission for developments of three dwellings or greater and for other developments at the discretion of the Town Mayor, Town Clerk and Chairman of the Planning and Licensing Committee.

Such meetings will not be public and will be held with an officer present and a written record of the meeting will be produced and published on the council website.

Cllr Morris voted against the resolution; Cllr Gray abstained from voting.
