P24/041 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

No member declared an interest in any item.

 

P24/028 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held on the 9th December 2025

 

P24/029  REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE

The year-to-date income and expenditure was noted.

 

P24/030 STAFF REPRESENTATIVE

The Town Clerk reported that there was no report from the staff representative.

 

P24/031 INTERNAL ADVERTISING OF VACANCIES

A motion that a policy of internally advertising any vacancies prior to external advertisement as set out in the circulated report was proposed and seconded but failed.

It was RESOLVED that to concurrently advertise all vacancies internally and externally.

 

P24/032 CHANGES TO CARETAKER AND CLEANER ROLES

A motion to employ a caretaker at 12 hours and to contract out cleaning provision, as set out in option C of the circulated report, was proposed and seconded but failed.

It was RESOLVED to advertise for a 13-hour cleaner role and a 12-hour caretaker role and that in the event no appointment is made to a 13-hour cleaner role that the Town Clerk be authorised to readvertise at up to 18 hours.

 

P24/033 OUTSTANDING MATTERS LOG

The log was noted. The update on the implementation of the buying and selling of annual leave policy was noted.

 

P24/034 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING

It was noted that the next scheduled meeting would be held on 16th June 2025 at 7:30pm.

 

P24/037 STAFFING OVERVIEW REPORT

It was RESOLVED to exclude the public and press on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

The report was noted. The Town Clerk provided further information in respect of the appointment of the Town Ranger Apprentice, recent staffing changes and a grievance.

The Chairman reported that the Town Clerk’s next appraisal was being held on Friday.
