E21/033  APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies were received from Cllrs Abel (borough council business), Gardiner and Power (personal business)

No member declared an interest in any item under discussion.

 

E21/035  PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

No members of the public were present.

 

E21/036  CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held 8^th November 2021.

 

E21/037  REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE

The income and expenditure year to date was noted and that the final position for the Christmas Market should be confirmed by the next meeting.

 

E21/038  TOWN CENTRE MANAGEMENT REPORT

The report was noted.

 

E21/039  MARKETS STRATEGY

It was RESOLVED to approve the committee’s sections of the Markets Strategy.

 

E21/024  ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT 2021 RECOMMENDATIONS

It was RESOLVED to approve the committee’s 2022 action plan.

 

E21/025  REVIEW OF CHRISTMAS EVENTS AND ILLUMINATIONS

The Town Clerk reported on a number of issues encountered due to failures predominantly down to the sub-contractor and advised that the contractor had reduced charges for the current year to cover this. It was noted the scheme had received predominantly positive feedback from residents.

 

E21/029  QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK

The Town Clerk responded to a question advising that the predominant impact of the Town Centre and Marketing Officer vacancy was a pause on their workstreams.

 

E21/030  OUTSTANDING MATTERS LOG

The log was noted.

 

E21/031  DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING

It was noted that the next scheduled meeting would be held on 21^st March 2022 at 7:00pm.
