E21/005 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held 15th March

 

E21/006 ELECTION OF DEPUTY CHAIRMAN

It was RESOLVED to elect Cllr Coan as Deputy Chairman.

 

E21/007 REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE

The budget and spending year to date was noted.

 

E21/008 TOWN CENTRE MANAGEMENT REPORT

The report was noted and the committee expressed its thanks for the work of the Town Centre and Marketing Officer in delivering the Head out Not Home alfresco dining events. It was agreed that the committee should consider further such events for 2022 giving particular regard to the financing and security of the event.

A question on the redemption of Knutsford Vouchers was raised; Town Clerk stated businesses are encouraged to regularly claim reimbursements through the scheme and that the Town Centre and Marketing Officer would communicate with participating businesses regarding expiring vouchers.

 

E21/009 KNUTSFORD SHOPPING BAG

It was RESOLVED to order a stock of 500 bags and approve the pricing structure detailed in report E-21-10.

 

E21/010 EVENTS REVIEW AND FORWARD PLANNING

 The report was noted and the Chairman added that arrangements were being made for the 2021 Remembrance Sunday services.

 

E21/011 COMMITTEE BUDGET 2022/23

 It was RESOLVED to approve the draft budget as presented.

 

E21/012 RATIFICATION OF DECISIONS TAKEN UNDER DELEGATED AUTHORITY

 It was RESOLVED to ratify the decisions formally taken by the Town Clerk under delegated authority during the suspension of formal meetings thus:

Return of Knutsford Makers Market

  1. The Makers Market will be permitted to return in July 2021.
  2. This is subject to the government guidance in force at the time of the event allowing the market to be safely held in its normal format of a street market along Princess Street and Silk Mill Street and the initial market being smaller than a full market.
  3. The Town Centre and Marketing Officer will agree the precise detail of the initial market with the Makers Market operator. The Town Clerk and Events Committee Chairman shall have oversight.

 

The Town Clerk, in consultation with the Chairman, may cancel the market up to the Wednesday prior to the event should it be considered necessary due to the COVID situation.

 

Recommendations from the Residents COVID Impact Survey

The recommendations set out in report E-21-02 are approved.

Head out Not Home Alfresco Dining Evenings

The Head Out Not Home al fresco dining evening proposal is approved as per the proposal in report E-21-03 but with the amendment that the events will not be held on the same weekend as the Makers Market and the August and September events shall be subject to the success of the July event.

Production of a Welcome Back Pack

The proposal as set out in E-21-04 is approved.

Actions Arising from The Business Covid Impact Survey

The recommendations set out in report E-21-10 are approved.

Food And Drink Festival

The proposal for a Knutsford Food and Drink Festival as per report E-21-06 is approved.

Re-Fresh Knutsford

The proposal for ReFresh Knutsford as per report E-21-11 is approved.

 

E21/013 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK

The Town Clerk responded to questions stating that the council could publicise wellbeing events organised by local businesses and that the Town Centre Marketing Officer would contact the organiser to obtain the information and that an item would be included for the next meeting to agree a rota for the regular inspection of the festive illuminations.
