E20/012 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held 9th November 2020.
E20/013 COMMITTEE TERMS OF REFERENCE
The terms of reference were noted.
E20/014 REVEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
The committee budget and spending to date was noted.
E20/015 TOWN CENTRE MANAGEMENT REPORT
The report was noted and the committee expressed thanks to the Town Centre and Marketing Officer for her work.
E20/016 CHRISTMAS TRAIL
It was RESOLVED to approve the Christmas trail as outlined subject to the Events Officer programming the event to run after the Christmas Market for one week.
E20/017 SHOP CHRISTMAS TREES
It was RESOLVED to authorise a budget of up to £2,500 to fund the provision of the shop Christmas trees. It was noted this would fund up to 60 trees, that the previously participating businesses would be prioritised and that the provision of trees at the neighbourhood shops on Longridge, Parkgate Lane and Woodlands Drive would be explored.
E20/018 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK
The Town Clerk responded to questions stating that it was considered unlikely that Cheshire East Council would implement planters in replacement of the barriers but that the Town Centre and Marketing Officer was pressing for this.
Cllr Houghton stated that whilst the Christmas Market had been postponed the council was at liberty to cancel it should the event be considered inappropriate depending on the coronavirus situation post-lockdown.
