EN20/002 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies were received from Cllrs Coan and Houghton (personal business)

 

EN20/003 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

Cllr Malloy declared a personal interest in EN20/008 on the grounds of being a member of Cycle Knutsford.

 

EN20/004 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

No members of the public wished to address the committee.

 

EN20/005 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held 28th September 2020.

 

EN20/006 COMMITTEE TERMS OF REFERENCE

The committee terms of reference were noted.

 

EN20/007 REVEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE

The committee income and expenditure to date was noted.

 

EN20/008 CYCLE PARKING

It was RESOLVED that the Broxap New Sheffield cycle shelter be the council’s preferred shelter.

It was RESOLVED to prioritise the installation of a shelter at the Silk Mill Street car park and Knutsford Sports Club and thereafter review the programme.

 

EN20/009 HAPPY TO CHAT BENCHES

It was RESOLVED to introduce ‘happy to chat’ benches in the outlined locations subject to them benefitting from good natural surveillance.

 

EN20/010 OBELISK INTERPRETATION BOARD

It was RESOLVED not to install an interpretation board at the obelisk but that the committee should explore options for a virtual tour guide/app of the town’s heritage.

 

EN20/011 NATURE ACTION PLAN

It was noted that the tree mapping project had so far mapped approximately 60% of Knutsford’s public domain trees and that the survey would recommence in Spring 2021.

The progress to date on the Nature Action Plan was noted.

 

EN20/012 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK

The Town Clerk responded to questions stating that the paths in Wallwood were due to be re-gravelled in December/January, that the council has previously avoiding deploying the Town Ranger to undertake core maintenance at Cheshire East Council owned open spaces and that the council was still awaiting the required specification from Cheshire East Council to be able to explore commissioning additional gully emptying.
