EN22/019 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

No member declared an interest in any item under discussion.

 

EN22/020 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

No members of the public were present.

 

EN22/021 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 6th June subject to a typographical correction at EN22/010 and correction of the time of the next meeting to 7pm.

 

EN22/022 REVIEW OF YEAR-TO-DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE

The year-to-date income and expenditure was noted. The Town Clerk responded to questions explaining the Tour of Britain, watering and horticulture budget lines noting that the horticulture budget line is likely to be overspent due to the additional planters donated by Cheshire East Council.

 

EN22/023 NATURE ACTION PLAN

The progress of the Nature Action Plan to date was noted.

It was RESOLVED to approve the purchase of 50 Hedgehog Highway surrounds and leaflets to be provided to residents at no cost through engagement with local schools.

 

EN22/024 BIG GREEN WEEK

It was RESOLVED to approve the activity proposed for Big Green Week as outlined in report EN-22-08.

 

EN22/025 STREET NAME SIGN REPLACEMENTS

It was RESOLVED to allocate the Highways budget for a third tranche of street name sign replacements as outlined in report EN-22-09.

 

EN22/026 OUSTANDING MATTERS LOG

The log was noted and it was noted that the crowdfunding for a cycle shelter had met its target. The Town Clerk outlined the proposed action to tackle dog fouling and explained that he hoped to resolve a number of the outstanding matters prior to the next meeting.

 

EN22/027 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK

The Town Clerk responded to questions stating the repair to the railings on the Heath would be discussed by the Heath Forum when it starts meeting and that quotes were awaited for repairs to the Heritage Way setts. The Town Clerk further responded to a question regarding not weed spraying stating that it was taking the Town Ranger significant additional time but there had been no complaints about the additional weed growth from the public.

It was noted that the next scheduled meeting would be held on 26th September 2022 at 7:00pm.
