ET24/036 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
A representative of Plastic Free Knutsford thanked the council for its support, highlighted the plastic free pledge and raised concern about the amount of litter in the town.
ET24/037 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 23rd September.
ET24/038 REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
The committee income and expenditure year-to-date was noted.
ET24/039 LONGRIDGE FINGER POST
It was RESOLVED to install a cast aluminium sign in accordance with report ET-24-14, noting fingers could be changed in the future and that if possible cycling times should also be included.
ET24/040 ROUNDABOUT FEATURES
It was RESOLVED to explore the installation of chainsaw carvings on the roundabouts, subject to understanding the viability of permission from Cheshire East Highways and securing sponsorship for the costs.
ET24/041 NATURE ACTION PLAN
Cllr Johnson provided a verbal report of the recent working group meeting where the working group had focused on discussing a planned trail and signage to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, that it was aiming to hold an event on 27th May and that the working group was looking at tree planting opportunities but noted it needed Cheshire East Council to allow highway verge planting.
ET24/042 GASKELL AVENUE PLANTING SCHEME
It was RESOLVED to approve the scheme prepared by Knutsford in Bloom.
ET24/043 STRATEGIC PLAN
Progress on actions in the current year action plan was noted, it was noted the Tidy Town Team working in the town centre could be promoted to widen volunteering.
ET24/044 OUTSTANDING MATTERS LOG
The log was noted and the committee encouraged expeditious progress on installing the dog bag dispensers, submitting the Church Hill DMMO application and a litterpick led by businesses being coordinated on the Parkgate Industrial Estate.
ET24/045 QUESTIONS TO THE CLERK
The Town Clerk responded to questions stating he would raise the non-mowing the Steeple Field meadow with ANSA, that whilst the council had secured the grant funding for the Knutsford Community Garden its role would be supporting its establishment not directing its activity and that if there is evidence of which SatNavs have not been updated with the changes to the Canute Place roundabout he would raise it with Cheshire East Highways.
