C26/005 COMMITTEE TERMS OF REFERENCE
The committee terms of reference were noted.
C26/006 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held 20th April.
C26/007 REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
Cllr Russell joined the meeting.
The income and expenditure at year end was noted. The Town Clerk explained that the grants expenditure was low due to a returned grant.
C26/008COMMUNITY GRANT AWARDS
A representative of Hope Central addressed the committee and took questions from members. It was explained that the debt centre counsellors work with clients to reduce their debts and that the Christians Against Poverty subscription is the mechanism through which they obtain the regulated debt advice for clients.
It was RESOLVED to award a grant of £1,500 to Hope Central as part funding to its subscription for Christians Against Poverty, as required to operate its debt centre.
C26/009 KNUTSFORD AND DISTRICT COMMUNITY LOTTERY
It was noted that the proposed platform operates a community fundraising platform and that its success would be driven by the organisations using it to fundraise.
It was RESOLVED to consult with community organisations to ascertain interest in the scheme.
C26/010 COMMITTEE WORKING GROUPS
It was RESOLVED to appoint Cllrs Dalzell, Forrest, Johnson and McCulloch to the youth strategy working group, and Cllrs Banks, Dalzell and Hartley to the small grants working group.
C26/011 STRATEGIC PLAN
Progress against delivery of strategic plan actions was noted.
C26/012 OUTSTANDING ACTIONS AND PROJECT UPDATES REPORT
The outstanding actions and project updates report was noted. It was suggested that the fire station be explored as a location for a noticeboard.
C26/013 COMMITTEE WORKPLAN
The committee workplan was noted.
C26/014 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK
The Town Clerk responded to a questions advising that the Crosstown Community Orchard was open to all of the community, not just residents of Cross Town ward, that a sign could be installed for the community orchard at St Helena’s Field and that he would obtain an update on the community emergency plan from Knutsford Rotary Club.
