A20/033 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

A20/034 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
Cllr Abel declared an interest in A20/040 on the grounds of being a member of the Tatton Park Board.
A20/035 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
A resident commended the council on its work at the cemetery chapel and encouraged the committee to undertake the additional work to make the external kitchenette door openable. The resident further raised concern than the proposed illumination of the centennial war memorial may be insufficient and suggested a trial of the lighting be undertaken before it is installed.
A20/036 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes subject to the addition of Cllr Abel to the list of attendees; a typographical correction to A20/022 and an addition to A20/025 to refer to the query with Cheshire East Council concerning coronavirus funding.
A20/037 REVIEW OF YEAR-TO-DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
The Town Clerk responded to queries in relation to various lines of expenditure. Noting the computer software and hardware budgets were overspent it was agreed that the IT working group meet.
A20/038 UPDATE ON THE TRANSFER OF THE COUNCIL OFFICES
The Town Clerk provided a verbal update stating that there remained two outstanding matters holding up the transfer, clarity around the transfer of a strip of land held as highway at the front of the property and the wording of the covenants around keeping the unbuilt upon land unbuilt upon. The Town Clerk stated he was regularly chasing officers for progress.
A20/039 SURRENDER OF BURIAL RIGHTS POLICY
It was RESOLVED that the council provide refunds for surrendered burial rights at fixed percentages based on the unexpired terms, less the council’s administration fee, as follows: 90-99 years (90%), 75-90 years (75%) and 0-75years (50%).
A20/040 SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR CEMETERY CHAPEL TO BE A CIVIL WEDDING VENUE
It was RESOLVED to seek a licence for civil wedding ceremonies at the chapel as outlined in report A-20-09.
A20/041 LIGHTING OF THE CENTENNIAL WAR MEMORIAL
It was RESOLVED to install a single powered ground light with the colour change option as per the quotation submitted by the lighting specialist subject to confirmation that it would not affect the airport flight paths and obtaining listed building consent should it be required.
A20/042 CEMETERY CHAPEL
It was RESOLVED to commission the additional repair works to bring the external kitchenette door into use and to defer consideration of providing broadband in the chapel to allow for its necessity to be assessed.
A20/043 WARREN AVENUE ALLOTMENTS FENCING REPLACEMENT
It was RESOLVED to approve works to replace the warren avenue allotment fencing.
A20/044 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK
The Town Clerk responded a question in relation to the allotment fencing advising that the fencing is of a style that it would facilitate hedgehogs passing through.
A20/045 ACTIONS LOG
The log was noted and the Town Clerk was instructed to hasten the drainage works at the market.
A20/046 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING
It was noted that the next scheduled meeting will be held on 19th April 2021 at 7:30pm.
A20/047 60 KING STREET
It was RESOLVED to exclude the public and press on the grounds that publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the commercially confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
It was RESOLVED that the Town Clerk speak with the prospective tenant to enquire if they are open to further negotiation on the lease and to coordinate a meeting with the committee if so.
