26/013  PRESENT

26/014  APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies were received from Cllrs Banks and Watson (personal business) and Lowe (business).

 

26/015  DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

Cllr Johnson and Mears declared a personal interest in 26/018 as hirers of the Market Hall.

It was noted that all members knew the public speaker as a former employee of the council.

 

26/016  PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

A trader at Knutsford Market Hall spoke of the impact the excessive heat in the market has had on the businesses of the traders including spoilt stock, customers leaving the building and overheating of refrigerators. It was noted the building was uncomfortable in the heat and that the butcher stall has had to dispose of excessive amounts of spoilt stock.

 

26/017  CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held 11th May.

 

26/018  MARKET HALL VENITLATION, COOLING AND DRAINAGE WORKS

It was RESOLVED to authorise the works outlined in report C-26-03 for the installation of air conditioning, stall ventilation to two stalls and drainage works, including to approve the release of a further £9,225 from the capital reserve.

It was noted that the next scheduled meeting will be held on Monday 15th June 2026.
