C25/049 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
Cllr Gardiner declared a personal interest in the donation request from Gauntlet Birds of Prey CIC on the grounds of being a member of the Cheshire East Council Adults and Health Committee which oversees the commissioning of day services.

C25/051 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held 15th December 2025.
C25/052 REVIEW OF YEAR TO DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
Cllr Watson arrived during this item.
The income and expenditure year to date was noted and the Town Clerk took questions from members.
C25/053 COMMUNITY GRANT AWARDS
It was RESOLVED to approve a donation of £200 to Gauntlet Birds of Prey CIC.
Cllr Gardiner abstained from voting.
C25/054 COMMUNITY GRANTS POLICY
It was RESOLVED to approve the revised policy, with the additional amendments of updating the cover photograph and amending section 4.6 to refer to four rounds per year.
C25/055 YOUTH DROP IN
It was suggested that any service should be supported by staff at least in its initial 6-12 months rather than solely volunteers, than an age range of 13-17 could be too broad and engagement should take place with the police.
It was RESOLVED to explore the potential for running a youth service, that a more detailed proposal come back to the committee for approval and that officers work with the Youth Strategy working group on the proposals.
C25/042 STRATEGIC PLAN
Progress against delivery of strategic plan actions was noted.
C25/043 OUTSTANDING ACTIONS AND PROJECT UPDATES REPORT
The outstanding actions and project updates report was noted. Cllr Gardiner noted Disley operated a volunteer scheme at its library and encouraged re-engagement of Cheshire East Council to explore this for Knutsford.
C25/044 COMMITTEE WORKPLAN
The committee workplan was noted.
C25/045QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK
The Town Clerk responded to a question concerning the condition of roads, advising that specific defects should be reported via the Cheshire East Council traCE system and CEC councillors engaged on general issues.
Cllr Hartley noted the establishment of a new support group for the visually impaired and enquired and the Town Clerk advised the accessibility forum work would be picked up once the new Community Engagement Officer was in post.
