ST JOHN’S WOOD COMMUNITY MEETING
TUESDAY 16TH FEBRUARY AT 7PM
Knutsford Town Council is hosting a community meeting using Zoom and Facebook to discuss how St John’s Wood can be improved for the local community.
Our aim is to establish a new Friends of St John’s Wood community group/charity which will help drive investment into this open space.
St John’s Wood is owned by both Great Places housing association and Cheshire East Borough Council. The new Friends of St John’s Wood would be supported by Knutsford Town Council and work with the landowners to deliver community improvements to this open space. As a community group/charity, it will be able to apply for grants to undertake projects which make the woodland a better place for the local community.
The meeting will be chaired by Cllr James McCulloch, one of six Over Ward councillors on Knutsford Town Council. James is the council’s appointed representative for this group and he lives close to the woodland in Gaskell Rise, Longridge.
The meeting will be an opportunity for the local community to openly discuss how the woodland could be improved. The agenda will be:
- A discussion on how St John’s Wood could be improved
- A discussion on what the community wants to see change and what it wants to stay the same
- A call for volunteers to form a committee for Friends of St John’s Wood
All residents are welcome to join the meeting and there is no obligation for you to put yourself forward for the committee.
If you have any questions about the meeting please email the Town Clerk: townclerk@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk.
