Wallwood is a small (0.679 acres) woodland at the top of King St, near the entrance to Tatton Park. The land is vested in the Town Council’s ownership by virtue of it being the sole Trustee of the “Charity for Public Recreation and Exercise” which was formed in 1979.
The wood was gifted to the town for the purpose of public recreation by the Tatton Estate. You can view a fantastic video created by former Councillor Jonathan Farber by clicking the image of the sign!
The woodland is open all year round for public recreation. The Town Council has recently been working to improve the area and has installed new fencing, new accessible paths and arranged for two new trees to be planted.
