Queen’s 90th Birthday and new Market Stall

There have been a couple of new additions to the Town Council website in the past few weeks.

Firstly, we have added councillor attendance figures, which are updated every few weeks, allowing residents to view up-to-date data on member attendances. Secondly, we have added a map of the council wards.

A street party is on the cards for 2016 to celebrate the 90th birthday of The Queen, with a working group set up to prepare plans – if you have any thoughts please do let me know. The events committee has also established a working group to look into developing a music festival for Knutsford in 2017.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help with the development of the Neighbourhood Plan or to receive updates, following the recent flyer that was distributed across the town. The working groups are now beginning to meet and flesh out the topics that the themes will cover – if you want to be involved please visit knutsfordneighbourhoodplan.org.uk for more information.

Finally, last Friday saw the opening of the newest stall in Knutsford Market Hall, Mimi’s Baby Boutique, which I am sure will be an asset to the market. For more information visit knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01565 653929.

The Town Clerk’s Column is a bi-weekly blog appearing in the Knutsford Guardian.
