EN21/023 CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES
It was RESOLVED to confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 20th September.
EN21/024 REVIEW OF YEAR-TO-DATE INCOME AND EXPENDITURE
The year-to-date income and expenditure was noted.
EN21/025 FRIENDS OF ST JOHN’S WOOD
Mrs Cathryn Walley, Chair of the Friends of St John’s Wood joined the meeting and provided an overview of the charity’s work over the year. Mrs Walley reported that the charity covered both St John’s Wood and the scheduled monument site of St Helena’s Church and that the charity had been registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and to date the group had undertaken a community survey to inform the development of a masterplan.
EN21/026 NATURE ACTION PLAN
The committee noted progress on delivery of the Nature Action Plan including the successful Big Bulb Plant imitative which saw 24 planting events take place over two weeks on various green spaces.
EN21/027 COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT 2021
It was RESOLVED to approve the Environment Audit 2021 subject to the additions of actions to:
- Investigating eco-friendly coffin usage at the cemetery
- Lobbying for a change in the law to reduce the number of trees being felled
- Implement and promote a ‘buy British’ policy
EN21/028 CLIMATE EMERGENCY WORKING GROUP
It was RESOLVED to approve the terms of reference for the working group and that Full Council be asked to appoint councillors to the working group at its next meeting with the working group to co-opt non-councillor members.
EN21/029 OFFICIAL TOWN GUIDE 2022-24
It was RESOLVED to undertake the production of the new town guide in house and that it should continue to include an A2 pull-out map.
EN21/030 LIGHTING OF SPARROW LANE FOOTPATH
It was RESOLVED further investigate the provision of lighting on the footpath by Cheshire East Council.

EN21/032 ACTIONS LOG
The log was noted.
EN21/033 QUESTIONS TO THE TOWN CLERK
The Town Clerk responded to questions stating that he would arrange for the overgrowth around the library garden benches to be trimmed, investigate renovation of benches on the Moor, obtain costs for the removal of the stumps at Mereheath Park and that the timing of tree planting on 4th December was to be determined.
