King St Plans and Town Awards

Knutsford Town Council’s new Town Ranger is now out in Knutsford working to make the town cleaner and tidier. If you spot a ‘grot spot’ around town, give us a call and we will get it sorted, either by chasing Cheshire East or by sending Robin out.

If you want a say in the plans for King Street make sure you get down to the exhibition on Silk Mill Street this week – maybe coupled with a visit to the Makers Market on Sunday! The Town Council will be responding to the consultation at our meeting on July 20.

All committees have now had their first meeting of the new council and the chairman of these committees elected. You can find out who they are on the Town Council website. Also new on the website is information about allotments in the town.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Mayor’s Civic Sunday parade and service and those who attended the town awards. For more read this week’s Guardian. Make a note of who you think should receive an award next year ready for the nominations in May, 2016.

Finally, who else is excited for the Knutsford promenades? It’s going to be fantastic so don’t miss it this Saturday.

The Town Clerk’s Column is a bi-weekly blog appearing in the Knutsford Guardian.
