Visitors to the town will soon notice a collection of new plaques being installed; the Environment Committee has approved six new blue plaques on buildings such as the Gaskell Tower and former Royal George Hotel. You can make a nomination for a new blue plaque on the Council website.
The next deadline for Grant Applications is 9th November; so if you represent a community group thinking of making an application for funds please ensure it is in by then. Our next applications are not until February.
Applications for the Millennium Bursary are now open. The Bursary is for 2nd year University Students and more information can be found on our website and in next week’s Knutsford Guardian.
Working groups for the Neighbourhood Plan are now beginning to meet regularly – it’s not too late to get involved so if you have an interest in shaping the future development of Knutsford please do get in touch.
Finally, you may have noticed that the triangle on Hollow Lane has been receiving attention from our Town Ranger. This previously neglected area has had the bench and bin refurbished and the railings given a lick of paint. If you spot another neglected area of town do let me know.
