Floral Walk – Results!

Knutsford shops and businesses, as usual, put on a beautiful Floral Walk display to celebrate the RHS Flower Show which took place in Tatton Park last week.

Two competitions make up the “Floral Walk”.  The formal RHS competition, judged by RHS with strict criteria for those who enter, and the informal competition led by the Town Council with winners chosen by the public on social media.

The formal RHS competition winner was Clare & Illingworth and they were presented with their prize on Wednesday 18th July.

The public vote was quite different with:

1st Place               Old Sessions House

2nd Place              Wine and Wallop

3rd Place               Pulse of Perfumery

Mayor of Knutsford, Councillor Peter Coan, presented the top three with their certificates on Tuesday 24th July and the winner gets the illustrious trophy to display for the year.

Councillor Coan said, “The whole week has been absolutely inspiring.  The amount of time and effort shown by local businesses is amazing and seems to get better with each passing year.  Our town looks fantastic and is a credit to all involved.  Well done everybody!”

Stephen Evans, Chief Executive of Carrwood Limited, who own The Old Sessions House, said, “The team of The Old Sessions House are delighted to have participated and won this year’s competition.  We never underestimate the importance of fully participating in local initiatives, as this helps to promote our fabulous town.  It was a total team effort and a big thank you to all who voted for us!”
