Complete the Open Spaces Survey

We’ve had many fantastic responses to our Open Spaces survey which asks your thoughts on how Knutsford’s open and green spaces can be preserved or enhanced –if you haven’t yet responded, please do get your comments to me by the end of September.

Our Town Ranger has been busy around town the past few weeks, refurbishing more bins and benches and generally working to help keep Knutsford that little bit cleaner and tidier. If you spot an issue for him to tackle – let me know.

The Finance Committee awarded four more organisations with Community Grants recently which you will be able to find out more about in a future edition of the Guardian. If you are involved in a community group that needs funding, the deadline for the next round of applications is Friday 2nd October.

On behalf of the councillors who manned the Town Council stall at the September Maker’s Market I would like to thank all those residents who stopped and spoke with the Council. It proved to be a great opportunity for residents to raise issues, make suggestions and generally discuss matters with their councillors and will be repeated at the October Market!

Finally, if you are a keen golfer and haven’t yet registered a team for the Mayor’s Charity Golf Day on September 22nd – contact Clare at the Council Offices.

The Town Clerk’s Column is a bi-weekly blog appearing in the Knutsford Guardian.
