Christmas in August

Christmas is already being planned by the Town Council with the first allocations for stalls at the Christmas Market having been announced last week. If you are a Knutsford trader and would like the opportunity to trade at the market, visit our website.

This year will also see some changes to the Christmas lights in the town centre – I’ve seen the visuals and they look great – you’re in for a treat!

Robin, our Town Ranger, has been busy tidying up a number of areas around town, from overgrown ginnels to cleaning road signs. If you’ve spotted anything that needs attention, let me know and we can either get Robin to deal with it or arrange it with Cheshire East. Robin is currently refurbishing the benches on Paradise Green and the Mobberley Road triangle.

Have you visited the Indoor Market recently? There have been a number of improvements since the Town Council took it over in 2014, and there are more planned. You will see that the Town Council is consulting on improvements to Knutsford’s open spaces. I’ve already had some fantastic responses and it really shows how valuable these areas are to the communities they serve.

The Town Clerk’s Column is a bi-weekly blog appearing in the Knutsford Guardian.
