1 ELECTION OF THE TOWN MAYOR

To elect the Town Mayor and receive their declaration of acceptance of office.

 

2 ELECTION OF THE DEPUTY TOWN MAYOR

To elect the Deputy Town Mayor and receive their declaration of acceptance of office.

 

3 APPOINTMENT OF THE MAYOR’S CADET

The Town Mayor shall announce the appointment of the Mayor’s Cadet.

 

4 APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES TO OUTSIDE BODIES

To appoint members to represent the council on external bodies

5 APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEES, SUB-COMMITTEES AND BANK SIGNATORIES

To appoint members and Chairman/Deputy Chairman of the council’s committees and sub-committees, to confirm the council’s bank signatories.

6 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

To receive apologies for absence.

 

7 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

To receive a statement from the newly elected Town Mayor.

 

9 STATEMENT FROM THE OUTGOING TOWN MAYOR

To receive a statement from the retiring Town Mayor.

To record a vote of thanks to the retiring Town Mayor.

11 ANNUAL GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY REVIEW

To approve the annual governance statements 2023/24.

To approve the annual accounting statements 2023/24.

12 MAYORAL ALLOWANCE

To approve a sum of £800 to be paid to the Town Mayor for the civic year 2024/25.

 

13 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

A period not exceeding 15 minutes for members of the public to ask questions or submit comments.
