Knutsford hosts a number of fantastic events throughout the year; from large annual events such as the Royal May Day to smaller events and fundraisers. The Town Council has a dedicated Events Committee which works to organise a small number of events and supports a number of other events in the town.

If you have an idea for an event, please do let the Town Clerk know.

Knutsford Royal May Day

Knutsford Royal May Day is one of the most famous of all the May Day events still celebrated in the UK. Originally held on the first Monday in May, since the 1920’s it has been held the first Saturday of May and in 2014 celebrated it’s 150th year. It was granted the title “Royal” in 1887 by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII). The event is still going strong, and continues to attract visitors from all round.
