May 18th‘Cheshire East’s Mayor Making Ceremony’, held at Tatton Park.

May 24th Knutsford Rotary Club Charter Dinner’ at the Cotton’s Hotel.

May 25th Knutsford Inner Wheel’s, ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’

May 27th Knutsford Musical Theatre Group (formerly known as KAOS) joint Concert with Northwich and Frodsham in memory of the late Ann Hooker.

May 30th Knutsford Lions Annual Victorian Street Fayre where he judged the Best Stall and Costume.

June 1st ‘RHS Liaison Meeting’ at Tatton Park where it was noted the police will no longer be responsible for the traffic management of this event, instead it would be policed by a private firm, S.E.P.

June 2nd ‘Unveiled the Mosaic Fat Bird on the Moor.

November 6th Requiem Mass at St Cross to remember those who died in the last 12th Months

November 11th- two minutes silence outside the Council Offices; to remember those who died in the Two World Wars and in conflicts since.

November 13th - Remembrance Sunday Events including early morning Communion at St Cross Church, wreath laying at the Over Knutsford Memorial, the Parade and Service at St John’s and Wreath Laying at the Red Cross Hospital and the Paratroopers Memorial in Tatton Park.

November 14th - Ceremony at the Lyceum in Crewe, creating 6 new Alderman for Cheshire East including Mr Tony Ranfield, a former Mayor of Knutsford.

November 16th -Annual General Meeting of the Nether Knutsford Freeholders Association.

November 18th- Year 6 debate at the High School, where children from all Knutsford’s state primary schools and those in neighbouring Parishes debated a wide range of topic including ‘Do Zoos do more harm than good?’ and ‘Are the Olympics a waste of money?’

November 19th - Concert performed by the Robert’s Bakery Brass Band and held on behalf of the Royal British Legion at the Methodist Church.

November 20th- Mass of Christ the King at St Vincent’s

November 23rd - Meeting with the Knutsford Heritage Centre about future plans for the centre.

November 24th - The Deputy Mayor and Mayor attended the Conference for Cheshire Town and Parish Councils in Congleton.

November 25th- Blue Plaque to Henry Royce Unveiling, which is to be displayed on the outside of the new Show Room on Manchester Road.

November 26th - Opening of the Christmas Bazaar at the Brook Street Chapel.

November 27th-  Advent Carol Service at St Cross Church.

December 1st–  Cubs & Beaver’s Carol Service performance of a puppet show called Shepherd Spy – a new take on the Nativity Story

December 8th – (a) Methodist Luncheon Club for Christmas lunch.

                           (b) Presentation by representatives of Live Life Local

                           (c) St Vincent’s Upper School Christmas Production.

December 9th– (a) Manor Park Christmas Fayre 

                           (b) The production of 42nd Street performed by the students of the Knutsford High School.

December 10th– (a) Presentation of prizes to the winners and runners-up in the Wendy Diddams’ Opticians Annual Christmas drawing competition,

(b) Knutsford’s Cubs and Scouts Centenary Camp Fire on the Heath 

 (c) Star Choir’s Christmas Concert in the Methodist Church. The choir complemented by a guest appearance by Egerton School’s Choir.

December 12th- Methodist Church’s Carol Concert.

 December 13th– (a) Tumble Tots’ Christmas Party

                             (b) Yorston Lodge School’s Christmas Concert at St John’s Church.

December 14th – (a) Exhibition at Manchester Airport of artwork prepared by children at schools in the Greater Manchester area looking at Gardens of Distinction including Tatton Park 

                             (b) Manor Park Lower School Nativity Play.

December 18th - Christmas Carol Concert at the Unitarian Chapel.

December 20th- Millennium Bursary Interviews

     (b) With the Deputy Mayor judging the shop windows for the annual Christmas Window Display competition.

December 22nd – Booths Supermarket in Knutsford to pack shoppers bags a thank you to Booths for their support during the year.

December 24th – (a) The Deputy Mayor and Mayor presented the prizes to the winners in the annual Christmas window Display Competition,

(b) Children’s Nativity Experience at St Cross Church,

(c) St Vincent’s for the Vigil Mass for Christmas

(d) Unitarian Chapel for a Candlelight Service.

25th December – (a) St John’s Church for Christmas Holy Communion,

16th January – Photo-shoot with representatives from the Guardian Newspaper Group and Equilibrium Asset Management regarding the Knutsford Community Hero Competition.

 16th January – Opening of the new Musgrave Gallery on the first floor of the Heritage Centre.

 17th January - Cheshire’s Best Kept Station awards in Northwich; 

22nd January - Ecumenical service held at St Cross Church

25th January – public meeting  to co-ordinate matters relating to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Torch Procession.
